In the same week Visibilis rebranded to Wolfenden, the agency and its founder scooped a double whammy of top prizes at the Leeds Digital Festival Awards.
Visibilis (now Wolfenden) was named Digital Agency of the Year, whilst its founder – Ben Wolfenden – was voted Entrepreneur of the Year, a particularly poignant win after a personally tumultuous year which saw Ben recovering from a double lung transplant, and now sees him hoping for another.
The Leeds Digital Festival Awards celebrate the organisations and individuals driving the digital and tech industry in Leeds and the wider region and allow the community to nominate the people and companies deserving of recognition.
On Wolfenden being voted Digital Agency of the Year, Managing Director Daisy Wolfenden commented: “We feel incredibly honoured winning this accolade, it’s been a challenging yet hugely significant year for the agency which has seen us grow our team, client base and revenue – and this feels like the cherry on top.
We’re a close and hard-working team, so it’s a fantastic recognition of every single staff member’s contribution and everyone was thrilled when our name was read out. It was particularly serendipitous timing to have been named Digital Agency of the Year in the same week we launched our rebrand from Visibilis to Wolfenden, and it certainly signals a shift for our agency to an even more exciting future.”
Daisy’s husband and Wolfenden founder Ben Wolfenden has spent the last 12 months recovering from a double lung transplant, as part of his ongoing battle with cystic fibrosis. Due to complications, the transplant hasn’t been successful and Ben now faces a challenge to secure another.
Despite these personal battles and the upheaval it has brought, Ben continues to lead the agency to success, and has commented on his Entrepreneur of the Year award: “Even making the shortlist for this award was incredibly humbling; winning never even entered my mind. To be voted for this award by clients, team members, peers and the wider community is really quite overwhelming but hopefully, a reflection of the personal approach myself, Daisy and the team take to our work.
Whilst it’s a shame we couldn’t all be together in person as the awards were read out, me and the whole Wolfenden team will be celebrating the wins for a few weeks yet!”
