Arbor Education is a socially-driven EdTech company on a mission to transform the way schools work, using smarter, hassle-free tools. Arbor’s Management Information System (MIS) is currently used by over 1,000 schools, helping staff save time whilst improving student outcomes. The company, whose Customer and Sales Office made its home in Leeds 4 years ago, recently decided to establish a new development and engineering function in the City, a decision which was an easy one considering the City's strategic location, its fast-paced environment and the large body of potential employees.
This role requires the following: 3+ years of commercial experience in a UX role such as UX Designer / UX Architect / UX Principal / Service Designer. Degree in Digital Design, HCI, Psychology, Computing or other relevant subject OR relevant commercial experience. A strong understanding of and passion for user centred design principles. Facilitation & moderation experience of qualitative research methodologies such as in-depth interviews & usability testing on multiple platforms. Experience in designing UX solutions across desktop & mobile. Ability to define and clearly document design solutions through process flows, site maps, wireframes and prototypes etc. Strong working knowledge of UX design tools e.g.Sketch, Axure, Proto.io, inVision, Adobe XD etc. Experience of designing and running collaborative workshops.
This role requires: 3+ years of commercial experience as a behavioural researcher including UX research Degree in Psychology, HCI, Digital Design, Computing or other relevant subject OR relevant commercial experience. A strong understanding of and passion for user centred design principles. Strong facilitation & moderation skills with extensive experience of qualitative research methodologies such as in-depth interviews & usability testing. Ability to think creatively and design bespoke research studies to meet a client’s objectives. Knowledge and experience of running UX research across multiple platforms Experience of designing and running collaborative workshops. A talent for translating research findings and metrics to actionable insight through recommendations to inform design or business strategy. Experience of leveraging existing data e.g. web analytics, consumer insights to create hypothesises and inform study design.
