A deep technical understanding and good experience of AWS tools and services, automated infrastructure provisioning, and Configuration Management in Enterprise public cloud environments. Experience using Azure and Google Cloud is also of interest. DevOps experience with good understanding of principles, tooling, practical implementations and coding skills.
Some of the required qualities: Experience of leading a team in a DevOps environment for a medium or large organisation : Broad technical knowledge within Ops including, cloud infrastructure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), infrastructure as code (Terraform and Cloudformation) : Reasonable fluency in coding in Python and preferably in one or more of the following languages: ruby, java, nodejs, golang : A wealth of experience in a variety of open source technologies and tools e.g. Terraform, Puppet, Packer, Git, Docker : Experience with Linux system management and configuration, preferably in a large-scale infrastructure : Knowledge and hands-on experience on EC2, ASG, Kinesis, Dynamodb, Lambda, EKS, RDS, DNS/Route53, VPC, Subnets, route tables, Load balancers, firewalls on AWS : Containerisation and container scheduler experience e.g. Mesos, Kubernetes.
Some of the qualities required for this post: Excellent communication skills. Written and verbal fluency in English is required : You will have a deep understanding of a modern DevOps toolchain and technologies for Cloud/SaaS and be able to provide creative solutions to complex, technical challenges, being recognised as a technical subject matter expert : A strong self-motivated individual with the ability to support teams across the organisation : You will have strong experience in Agile/DevOps, with Continuous Integration and delivery techniques : Hands-on experience in architecting, designing, or implementing solutions on AWS technologies : Thorough understanding of Docker, Containers and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or Marathon/Mesos : Software development in at least one or two of the following languages: Python, Ruby, Java, Nodejs, Golang : Knowledge and hands on experience on EC2, ASG, Kinesis, Dynamodb, Lambda, EKS, RDS, DNS/Route53, VPC, Subnets, route tables, Load balancers, firewalls on AWS : Knowledge and experience of DevOps technologies around Continuous Integration & Delivery in AWS using tooling GoCD, GitLabCI.
