You’ll be joining a small but growing team and have the skills to take ownership of projects to see them through from inception to delivery. You’ll collaborate with developers and stakeholders to turn user requirements into solid design artefacts and facilitate their implementation. We’re seeking a candidate with outstanding communication skills, capable of articulating complex concepts to stakeholders of all seniority levels and passionately championing user experience. You’ll have opinions on good design practices and help to shape our processes as the team grows.
About you: You have 3+ years of experience as a UX designer with at least 1 year working on a SaaS product (Ideally an enterprise B2B software). You can rapidly prototype using HTML/CSS. You’re familiar with industry standard design tools, such as Sketch, Invision, Photoshop, or Illustrator. You understand cross-browser compatibility issues and solutions. You have experience in User Research and Usability Testing, including creating Wireframes, Storyboards, User flows and process flows. Experience of creating and owning a complete Design System.
Requirements for this post: You should already have at least 3 years relevant experience working, preferably with some previous agency experience. You should be able to demonstrate experience of working in a design role as part of an agile team to deliver great products and services that delight their users. While running user research sessions is not a requirement for this job, having an understanding of user research methods, and having experience of working with user research, is necessary. You should be able talk confidently and passionately about design and UX. Experience of building design systems. Familiarity with the Gov.uk or NHS design system is welcome. While front-end web development is not part of the job, some knowledge of web design including HTML and CSS is beneficial Be comfortable working with Sketch or Figma, with Adobe Creative Cloud experience welcome.

We’re looking for someone who wants to help the public sector and charities build and maintain user-centred websites, products, and services. You create and edit content with confidence, and use user research and/or evidence to create content that meets user needs. You are able to help organisations prioritise, maintain, and improve their content. You have worked in a multidisciplinary team or a content/communications team, and are able to balance your workload across several projects. You are confident creating and managing content in a content management system such as WordPress.
We're looking for someone with: a strong portfolio with relevant education, 3+ years industry experience working with varied ‘clients’, a solid working knowledge of the latest versions of interactive design software, e.g. Creative Suite, Sketch and Invision, knowledge of how to translate data / findings into design decisions, an eye for amazing UI and design, comfortable leading / playing an active role within project discovery sessions or Design Sprints and the ability to articulate and present creative ideas.

Some of the essential requirements: A growth mindset - you approach every as a school day, no matter how experienced you are. Strong ability to recognise and predict use-cases and user interaction, including happy path, edge and corner cases, and incorporate them into designs. The knowledge and desire to investigate, innovate and develop emerging design, UX and technology trends. Experience in rapid prototyping tools, for example Sketch / Figma / Adobe XD. Excellent understanding of user-experience design for mobile and the web, technology trends, demonstrable design skills, and ability to show relevant work.
