As a Designer at SU, you will be a member of the UX Design team helping deliver UX and UI design work to clients in both the public and private sector.
You’ll also help shape our UX strategy and processes, and be an important member of agile teams delivering projects: crafting the user experience, making design decisions, working closely with clients to understand their requirements, helping shape user research, and supporting front end developers with detailed UI design and documentation

Requirements
You should already have at least 3 years relevant experience working, preferably with some previous agency experience.
You should be able to demonstrate experience of working in a design role as part of an agile team to deliver great products and services that delight their users.
While running user research sessions is not a requirement for this job, having an understanding of user research methods, and having experience of working with user research, is necessary.
You should be able talk confidently and passionately about design and UX
Experience of building design systems. Familiarity with the Gov.uk or NHS design system is welcome.
While front-end web development is not part of the job, some knowledge of web design including HTML and CSS is beneficial
Be comfortable working with Sketch or Figma, with Adobe Creative Cloud experience welcome.

2+ years commercial experience in a user research role ideally in digital UX. Experience of planning, scripting and conducting user research. Strong facilitation & moderation skills with experience of qualitative research methodologies such as in-depth interviews & usability testing. Knowledge and experience of running remote moderated and remoted unmoderated UX research. Knowledge and experience of running UX research across multiple platforms. A talent for translating research findings and metrics to actionable insight through recommendations to inform UX design or business strategy. Excellent written and communication skills. Knowledge and experience of delivering UX research as part of an Agile delivery team an advantage, working with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Slack, Trello.
