Outwood Grange Academies Trust seeks a UI/UX designer to lead on design across the Digital Services portfolio, ensuring a high-quality user experience across our systems. Using a balanced mix of UX and UI design skills, you’ll support the team’s software development from ideation through to implementation.
The Digital Services team, in conjunction with our Data and ICT teams, provide bespoke solutions to track student attainment and behaviour, manage websites and automate business processes. Our systems are used daily by thousands of staff members and tens of thousands of students and parents.
The successful candidate will have a strong track record of UI/UX design for projects across a range of devices, and awareness of current UX and design trends and techniques. You’ll use your design skills to improve and optimise the Trust’s digital user experience, identify opportunities for improvement, and devise elegant solutions for new and existing functionality.
You’ll be joining a small but growing team and have the skills to take ownership of projects to see them through from inception to delivery. You’ll collaborate with developers and stakeholders to turn user requirements into solid design artefacts and facilitate their implementation.
We’re seeking a candidate with outstanding communication skills, capable of articulating complex concepts to stakeholders of all seniority levels and passionately championing user experience. You’ll have opinions on good design practices and help to shape our processes as the team grows.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, driven professional to join our Family of Schools. You must possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students and share our single goal of ‘students first’.
