Technical SEO Strategist

Summary of role

We don’t believe in fluffy marketing jargon, or red tape which slows us down, so to the point:

At this level you’ll already have a few years’ experience delivering successful technical campaigns, so you’ll have a varied technical skillset and be able to communicate fluently, whether with the client or your teammates.

We want you to be the go-to person in c3 for any technical SEO implementation queries and be able to speak to developers in their language.

You’ll be enthusiastic and champion SEO throughout the business contributing to the growth of the business, from marketing through to new business.

You’ll be agile and open to embracing new ideas and mediums. But most of all you’ll be empathetic and open to working with everyone, from junior execs to directors, and impart your SEO wisdom throughout the business!

The ideal candidate will be someone who has had experience in a development environment or who has developed in the past.

To break it down into points:

The role

  • Carrying out architecture, crawls, content, and backlink audits and be fluent in discussing their importance.
  • Conduct technical analysis and interpret web analytics data to formulate technical recommendations. This involves identifying issues and proposing solutions.
  • Liaise and communicate with appropriate technical teams when required to support the delivery of digital measurement.
  • Clear understanding and use of industry platforms such as ScreamingFrog, Deepcrawl, SEOMonitor, Majestic, Ahrefs (and more – you tell us!)
  • Advancing reporting and visualisation capabilities using Google Data Studio and custom integrations with tools such as Supermetrics.
  • Utilising DevTools Console, Google Analytics for segmentation and analysis will be second nature to you.
  • Experience integrating with SEO, PPC and content marketing teams, including platforms and toolset specific to each.
  • Coding knowledge is a plus – but anything to do with working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python and Angular frameworks.



  • Ensure you delivery your best work 100% of the time.
  • Ensure you help to foster a supportive and inclusive working environment.
  • Be available for client discussions and work with priorities in mind.
  • Support the team with required technical tasks for example reporting, analysis, data gathering and interpretation of results.
  • Be adaptable and agile for business needs – we are a new business – everyone’s input is required.
  • Stay social and up to date with the industry – if you grow c3 grows
  • Contribute to growing c3 – whether that be blogging, video marketing, new business, speaking.
  • Use your voice – we’re a new business so all input is needed to grow the right way.
