We are currently looking for an experienced Technical Operations Engineer to work in our Technical Operations Team at our Leeds city centre office.
You will be working as part of the Technical Operations Team and also working on solo projects.
Hours of work: 8.50 am – 5.10 pm, Monday to Friday, with 1 hour for lunch.
Out-of-hours and weekend cover will be required.
Many of our customers trust us with their sensitive data: You must be able to pass UK Government Security Vetting.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience required: Linux (mostly Debian) Systems/Platform Administration/Engineering or similar 3rd line support role : Configuration Management / Configuration as Code (e.g. SaltStack, Ansible) : Scripting (e.g. Bash, YAML, PHP, Python) : SQL (MySQL, MariaDB, Percona) : Infrastructure Monitoring (e.g. Zabbix, Grafana) : Version Control (Git) : Security practices (e.g GPG encryption, SSL) : Effective problem solver : Ability to work on complex project requirements, both collaboratively and/or with minimal supervision.
We are looking for a graduate who is familiar with the Linux environment, systems administration and networking, with a knowledge of Windows, who is well organised and can work alone as well as within a team. It is also necessary to have very good communication skills, especially for producing written documents.
You are experienced in Linux environments and administration as well as Windows. You have computer networking knowledge and the ability to write and present documentation on projects and systems, working well both individually and as part of a team, with good organisation skills.
