SEO Strategist

As a growing and driven digital marketing agency, it’s never been a more exciting time to join WolfendenWe’re looking to hire an experienced and motivated SEO Strategist to help us in our next stage of growth. 

Ideally you’ll already be working within aSEO position either in-house or within an agency, looking for the opportunity to step up and develop within an encouraging and flexible environment.  

You’ll have a range of experience across technical and content, as well as a strong grasp of the importance of a client’s backlink profile. You’ll be investigative, keen to question, and excited to learn more about your clients’ wider marketing strategies and how you fit within these.

What you’ll do:

  •  Carry out keyword research, content audits and optimisation plans 
  •  Rewrite meta data, h1s and other critical elements of on page copy 
  •  Carry out technical reviews and monthly health checks 
  •  Manage client work plans 
  •  Develop client strategies & plans to achieve target KPIs 
  •  Coordinate with the client services & outreach teams to agree work schedules, activities and communicate with clients 
  •  Create briefs for the outreach and content writing teams to execute 
  •  Understand and report on client results 
  •  Put together meeting decks and analysis 
  •  Attend client calls and meetings 

About you:

  • You’ll have at least one year of experience in a very SEO-focused role, with agency experience as a bonus 
  • You keep yourself up to date with developments in the SEO industry 
  • You have a strong sense of initiative and responsibility – you can self-motivate without micromanagement and are driven to do an excellent job to the deadlines you’ve set 
  • You work well in a small team 
  • You have a solid grasp of technical SEO principles 
  • You have experience writing / optimising content for SEO and putting together a content strategy and plan 
  • You have experience using GA, Google Data Studio, Google Search Console, and a range of SEO tools to analyse performance against your account and understand the impact your work has made 
  • You know how to apply performance impact and explain how this results in a change to your strategy
