Senior Google Cloud Platform Consultant

We are looking for someone enthusiastic, driven and with a keen passion for technology to come and join our organisation as a Senior Google Cloud Platform Consultant.

Although our head office is based in Leeds, this role can be performed remotely, from your home.  It will involve frequent travel around the country and occasionally international travel.

This role will involve discussing the GCP project/opportunity with the customer from an early stage in the sales cycle in the form of technical pre-sales.  This technical pre-sales activity usually involves working closely with the team at Google, sometimes all the way through to the end of the project.

Your role will include working with our engineering and project teams to design, document and implement solutions built on the Google Cloud Platform stack of technologies. You will be expected to ensure the projects are successful from the information gathering stages, through to initial concept and design, through to implementation, build and support.

There will be an exposure to a wide variety of technologies and software and you will be expected to investigate the use of new technologies as they become available.

  • Automation of application configuration and deployment using configuration management tools.

  • Creating automated testing scenarios for customer applications and deployments.
  • Day to day support of existing customer infrastructure including problem analysis and resolution.
  • Building infrastructure as code in a reusable and repeatable manner allowing the team to streamline future projects.
  • Upskilling internal staff members by leading “Lunch and Learn” sessions, and one-on-one support as necessary.
  • Publishing articles and blogs to promote our brand

Minimum qualifications:

  • A background of working with public cloud services; AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform
  • Containerisation technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes in a production environment
