Purpose of Job
Our busy Communications team works across both Leeds Grand Theatre and City Varieties Music Hall and provides support to the Hyde Park Picture House team as required.
As Marketing Officer, you will be responsible for creating and delivering innovative campaigns to maximise audiences and income across both Leeds Grand Theatre and City Varieties Music Hall, as well as helping to raise the profile of all our venues and other activities of the Charity. Reporting to and working closely with the Marketing Communications Manager, you will work with both visiting companies and internal departments to ensure all campaigns reach target audiences across the region.
You will be a self motivated team player who is gifted at multi-tasking and prioritising – a marketer with some solid experience but still happy to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in. An eye for detail, a commitment to deliver results and the ability to work methodically would be hugely beneficial.
You will have a passion for developing and nurturing brands and an appreciation of strong design.
Keeping up with the latest developments in marketing and advertising opportunities, especially in the world of entertainment, will be something you enjoy, along with the ability to spot early trends which may benefit our own activity.
Your familiarity with all key social media platforms will bring confidence to create engaging content and respond to customers when necessary.
You’ll enjoy liaising with third parties to plan and execute visually exciting and strategically targeted campaigns which successfully deliver solid results – and keeping a close eye on spend will be a priority.
Whilst this role will primarily be based in the office or at home – working with our internal team and colleagues – there will be occasions when you will be required to attend media events at our venues, and venues across the country; an ability to work evenings and weekends is preferred.
You don’t need to come from an arts background but an interest or enjoyment of live performance will be a benefit.
