After another year of exceptionally strong growth, we’re on a mission to take our marketing to the next level. Like any software company with big plans for acquiring market share, we want to generate more leads, convert even more of them, and continue to build a brand that everyone’s excited to be a part of.
So now we’re looking for a Marketing Manager who craves a career-defining position in a fast-paced tech company, where you really can make a huge difference to what we do and how we do it. You’ll join and lead our small-but-well-established team of marketing experts, and you’ll be at the cornerstone of how, where, and why we grow, both now and in the future.
You’ll lead and manage all our inbound and outbound marketing initiatives, campaigns and programmess across North America, Europe and further afield, too (including Australia). You’ll develop the plans needed to help achieve the Management Team’s desired growth and you’ll also execute those plans flawlessly. And to help you do so, there’s a healthy marketing budget, a small team of hard-working experts, and a Board of Directors with an insatiable appetite to spend more money on marketing.
Wildly creative yet analytically data-driven, super ambitious with a perfectionistic eye for detail, a natural leader, a hard worker, a go-getter… you’ll need to be all these things (and more!) in this marketing management position. And most importantly, you’ll need to be good at both the strategic planning side of marketing as well as being able to actually get stuck in and get stuff done. All while being a great leader with impeccable communication skills, who’s able to understand the numbers and demonstrate the impact of marketing on Software2’s growth.
Who are we?
We’re an EdTech company making big waves in our industry, with an even bigger appetite to win more customers and grow more quickly across our key markets.
We’re on a mission to give students the best experience possible from their time at university, by providing our award-winning technology exclusively to Higher Ed. Currently used and loved by over 2 million students across the globe, to-date 15 apps are launched through our very own software product – AppsAnywhere: an app store for education – every single second, worldwide!
With rapidly growing customer communities across the US, Canada, and Europe, alongside an already market-busting share in the UK, we’re taking Higher Ed by storm. And we’re totally transforming how students get access to their academic software.
We’re super proud of our business, and we want to find an exceptional candidate who understands why. And with this being a marketing position, we of course want someone who can take what we stand for as a business and represent that in our brand and everything we do.
Our current marketing initiatives
Our new Marketing Manager will be able to design, own and run plans that include the whole marketing portfolio below, and perhaps more… You’ll need to understand each of the principles behind these different activities (for example, you’ll need to be an SEO wizard but also understand how to best support partners with channel marketing material), with demonstrable experience in each area, and you’ll need to ensure we deliver it all to the highest of standards and on time.
Marketing Management positions are notoriously difficult to fill, not least because you need to have a wide range of skills and balance the creativity that’s needed for us to cut through the noise in the market, with the pragmatism of getting stuff done and understanding how it all aligns to the business’ revenue objectives.
Inbound marketing, outbound marketing, event marketing, channel marketing, brand marketing, product marketing, customer marketing, account-based marketing, and more! (we also use all the latest MarTech…)
Still with us? Want to apply?
Great, we’d love to hear from you! It’s going to be hard work, but you’ll have a super-supportive team behind you who’ll help you be successful and give you everything you need to do just that.
We expect to hold the first interviews remotely (via Teams) where we can see if we’re a good fit for each other and also ask/answer a few questions to get us started.
Location:
This role will be based at our office (which is a converted pub!) just outside Leeds, in the small village of Sherburn in Elmet. Post COVID, we’re pretty flexible on how many days you work in the office or at home. We care more about what you can do than where you’re based. But it’s equally important that you’re an integrated part of our team.
