About the Role
The IT team is a core element of the Manheim Remarketing business within the UK, leading on the development of new functionality and solutions to enable delivery of both business and client objectives and strategy. Split across Programmes and Product Development and Service Management, this is a fast paced and busy but exciting environment which is continually evolving and refining the way in which we approach delivery of new services and the tools we utilise as part of this process.
Joining us as Lead Developer, you will provide effective, solution design and technical guidance to a team of developers to ensure they develop well written, effective code to specification and within the given constraints. You will design, review and approve technical designs and developer code and be accountable for the technical delivery of project solutions.
The Lead Developer will drive the development and technical delivery of a wide range of high profile, fit for business web projects and assist in the estimation and scoping out of projects to include resource requirements. You will work with colleagues and technical resources to define technical solutions to meet business requirements, and contribute to the ongoing development of best practices, identification of suitable new tools and system and service improvements.

Skills and experience required: Experience of working in an application support team within an ITIL environment. Worked in development in a .NET environment with skills in C#. In-depth experience of relational databases, with working knowledge of SQL Server. 2005 upwards and good understanding of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). Detailed Knowledge of TSQL scripts and XML. Worked on messaging integration platforms such as BizTalk and Mule. A good understanding of internet, systems, web technologies and web service architecture. Knowledge of object-oriented software development methodologies and practices. Has had experience in design, development, test and implementation of applications changes.
