This is a fantastic opportunity to join the UK Leadership Team of a uniquely-run, innovative and rapidly growing technology consultancy as the Head of Managed Services.
As Head of one of the five Business Lines, the role will operate at the heart of BJSS’s UK business, collaboratively building and running all aspects of the proposition and operational delivery. Key responsibilities include proposition development, client engagement, client transition, ongoing delivery quality, application modernisation, and running our secure ISO 27001 service.
The role reports to a board director.
The role will be based in Leeds though we anticipate the role being location flexible and focussed on supporting our clients with the ability to work away from home for short periods.

As part of the UK Leadership Team, you will play a pivotal role in the continued growth, development and success of BJSS. You will lead our Managed Service, one of our 5 Business Lines demonstrating focus on people management, client delivery and proposition development.
Our people are at the heart of our business. You will inspire and actively engage with our colleagues, and work with them to build strong and trusted relationships with our clients. You’ll need to be a confident and articulate presenter as the role will include representing BJSS at conferences and playing an integral role in our sales and commercial activities.
You will need extensive Managed Services experience, and be able to personally shape, influence and deliver large transition and run engagements. Excelling and making a difference within a high calibre, dynamic and challenging environment is one of the most stimulating aspects of the role. A technology delivery background is vital, as is knowing when to defer to the technical expertise of the team around you.
You will manage a range of client engagements from initial discussions, through to contract negotiation and then into the daily run activities of a Managed Service. This will include managing the profitability of the service, the agreed SLA’s and the overall relationship for the Managed Service. You will need excellent C-level skills.
Transition and transformation skills are needed, as is experience of taking clients on the journey to a new operating model. A strong understanding and practical experience of managed services and Cloud, particularly utilising AWS and Azure is needed, as well as experience in ITIL and DevOps approaches. The ability to translate existing process into the automated approaches required for cloud-based services is key. We’d like to build a ‘Modern’ Managed Service, that will require different thinking and different approaches; creativity and flexibility will differentiate us.
You will be the focal point for ongoing proposition development and defining the go to market strategy including recognising the opportunity to bring in new Managed Service products and services. Commercial experience and entrepreneurial credentials are important as are identifying innovative ways meet client requirements.
