Nudger Ltd. is launching a national mobile wellness rewards platform, aimed at rewarding UK residents for living healthier lives, every day. The platform combines the latest activity tracking capabilities with behavioural science, social connectivity and data and analytics, to drive sustained behaviour change on a national scale.

In this role, you will join a seasoned team of business leaders, behavioural scientists and engineers with years of experience in this space. Under the guidance of our CTO, you will be developing a new, redesigned platform for launch into the UK market.

The Role

We are looking for a JavaScript Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include implementing visual elements and their behaviors with user interactions. You will work with both front-end and back-end web developers to build all client-side logic. You will also be bridging the gap between the visual elements and the server-side infrastructure, taking an active role on both sides, and defining how the application looks and functions.

Responsibilities

Develop new user-facing features for an admin dashboard
Develop backend processes and features for the platform api and worker processes
Build reusable code and libraries for future use
Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end services
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
Ensure scalability and responsive applications through cache, worker processes, and optimized database interactions

Skills and Qualifications

Strong understanding of JavaScript, its quirks, and workarounds
Basic understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3
Good understanding of a developer should have the knowledge of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as ReactJS, Redux, NodeJS, Express, Knex,
Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around such issues
Familiarity with JavaScript module loaders, such as Require.js and AMD
Familiarity with front-end build tools, such as Grunt and Gulp.js
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
Experience with automated testing suites, like Jest or Mocha
Experience with localization of applications
Good understanding of browser rendering behavior and performance
Proficient understanding of PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ
Good understanding of the deployment process and CI/CD pipelines
Proficient understanding of AWS services
At least 5 years of experience utilizing Javascript Technologies
