The UKDI data team continues to grow the UK Enterprise Data Platform (EDP). The team is modernising its data engineering practice and technology. This role is a vital part of that transformation and the successful candidate can expect to contribute to the growth of the in-house capability to build and operate a modern data platform. Candidates will need to be flexible and multi-skilled, clearly able to evidence technology pathfinding and mentoring skills that enable them to lead and develop others whilst also demonstrating flexibility and willingness progress work at all levels to a final deliverable. Candidates will be able to evidence a significant background in the “traditional” Microsoft data stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, etc.) but must also have recent experience of the technologies associated with “big data” such as using Spark based platforms and data lakes in ETL/ELT solutions, such that they can clearly communicate how their own experience profile supports the transition described above.

Required - Experience of leading operational improvement /turnaround or operational restructuring programmes : Accounting, Engineer or relevant professional qualification (e.g. MBA, APICS, CPIM) : Advisory experience from a management consultancy, corporate finance advisory firm or as an 'internal consultant' in a corporate : Operations experience, across one or more sectors engineering, financial services, retail, industrial, consumer, high tech, utilities, logistics, telecoms and energy : Proven P&L analysis, cash flow and balance sheet work : Competent with spreadsheets, financial and operational KPIs. Comfortable with financial analysis Track record in business development.

Demonstrable experience as a technology Business Change Manager on large scale transformation programmes, underpinned by technology, in one or more industries for Tier 1 clients Experience of delivering Change within a large-scale SAP ECC or SAP S/4 Hana implementation is desirable Experienced of delivering change in programmes that are multi-site / regional / global A proven track record in helping global brands transform their organisations. Previous experience from a top consulting firm is a must! Excellent stakeholder management and relationship building skills
Requirements for this post include: Performed a Workstream Lead role, Cutover Manager or Test Manager role across multiple S/4 Hana engagements.
