Cloud Services Developer

Chameleon Technology is a pioneer in the energy IoT, developing software and cloud solutions to help people understand their energy consumption in the rapidly evolving world of digitalised energy.

Our software and cloud teams are growing fast and we have solid plans to expand further.  We are looking for a Cloud Services Developer to play a key role in the realisation of the company’s cloud-based smart energy solutions.

You will help design a platform that supports a large population of sensors and supporting applications for mobile and web. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented developer to be involved in the design of cloud- based systems supporting the IoT and Big Data for a growing, award-winning company.

You will have an honours degree in an appropriate discipline and at least two years’ experience in a software development role, with a high standard of code that follows software development best practices.

The ideal candidate will have experience in:

  • Working with relational databases at scale
  • Javascript, particularly for developing Node.js or React.js applications – experience in other languages will be considered
  • RESTful API development for integrations and web applications
  • Agile and CI/CD processes
  • Unit testing frameworks in at least one language, preferably Javascript
  • Data analysis using Python
  • Using and maintaining cloud infrastructure e.g Cloud Foundry, AWS

You will be confident communicating within a team and enjoy working in a demanding and dynamic environment.
