David Aspin, Owner, Munroe K

David Aspin has spent much of his career contributing to the growth, and later, the formation of multi-million pound businesses on an international scale.

David founded Munroe K, a property investment and development company, that focusses on delivering excellence in design and deliverability whilst creating a sense of community in all of its projects. Their flagship scheme, the White Rose Park in Leeds, boasts an enviable tenant roster and market leading retention rate. Adopting a ‘tenant first’ approach, developing and delivering schemes that work for the operational needs and effectiveness of its tenants and their employees, is at the heart of everything they do.

As CEO and Founder of Munroe K, David is responsible for an ambitious plan to bring about significant social and economic regeneration to the south Leeds region through a 72 acre development of commercial, residential and public open space. Driven by a proposed new railway station, something which he has personally lobbied for over many years, the project will create a new destination for work and leisure and will be the catalyst for regeneration in the area.

David has been an advocate for growth and investment at a regional level for many years, something that has seen him represent the Leeds City Region internationally in China, the USA, France and Spain. In 2018 David accepted an invitation from Leeds City Council and the LEP to be part of the prestigious MIT REAP programme, currently in place to help the region further its ambitions for the future.

Antonia Martin-Wright, Head of Investment – North, Commercial Estates Group (CEG)

With 14 years of industry experience, Antonia joined CEG in 2010 and runs the property investment team across the North, with responsibility for key assets and strategic sites.

Managing a successful team based out of the company’s Leeds office, Antonia heads up major transactions on behalf of the company including acquisitions and large strategic lettings.

This includes CEG’s complex multimillion-pound Temple development in the South Bank of Leeds, where the company has made a number of strategic acquisitions and will bring forward around 4 million sq ft of commercial space in coming years. This will create a significant extension to the City Centre, with the Grade I listed Temple Works at its heart.

Successful developments include CEG’s flagship £400million Kirkstall Forge development, where a new railway station opened and the first 110,000 sq ft office (which secured the prestigious BCO national award for ‘Best Commercial Workplace in the UK’) is now let.

Antonia also managed the acquisition and regeneration of Exchange Station in Liverpool. This former Victorian railway station has seen a £7million refurbishment programme and now provides almost 200,000 sq ft of prime, sustainable office space, with a popular café and deli, and provides a full concierge service. Fully let and occupied by more than 1,500 people, the delivery included a full turnkey relocation for Liverpool John Moores University to the iconic building.

Jonathan Shires, Director/Owner, Occprops Ltd

Jonathan has over 25 years’ experience in the UK property market.  Having worked for some of the globes largest Real Estate companies, Jonathan felt there was a gap in the market for quality, impartial and independent property advice and established Occprops in late 2020.  Jonathan has undertaken some of the region’s most prestigious projects and advised a myriad of household name occupiers over the years, bringing a wealth of property knowledge across many sectors and geographies to any project.  Occprops are currently advising both landlords & occupiers on the forthcoming return to the office, how to create a sustainable Hybrid culture and what impact this will have on their property portfolios.
