The Estonian Honorary Consul is hosting a meetup to introduce the world-famous e-Residency programme to Leeds entrepreneurs.

The Embassy of Estonia in the UK is coming to Leeds to host an event for local entrepreneurs interested in Estonia’s e-Residency programme and setting up a company in the EU. We will also have Estonia’s local Honorary Consul on hand, and representatives from the programme. The event is free to attend.

Renowned for its seamless e-governance, Estonia was the first country the world to launch e-Residency – a digital identification card for non-residents offering an online signature valid in the EU and access to Estonia’s paperless company registration to people anywhere in the world. Estonian e-Residency also allows UK entrepreneurs to maintain their foothold in the EU after Brexit and stay in the regulatory framework of the single market.

To date over 94000 people globally have become e-residents and have incorporated over 22000 new companies in Estonia, with the UK being among the top 10 countries.

On September 29 at 5pm we will host an e-Residency event at aql (11 Hunslet Road Hunslet Leeds), introducing Estonia’s e-services, the e-Residency programme and its benefits to the UK entrepreneurs, followed by networking over food and drinks.

Speakers include:

  • Adam Beaumont, an entrepreneur and an Honorary Consul of Estonia
  • Chris Sier, Chair of Fintech North and UK Treasury for Fintech Envoy
  • Ülane Vilumets, Head of Partnerships at e-Residency
  • David Fortune, an e-resident and a Law Enforcement Officer turned Entrepreneur and other UK-based e-residents
  • the Estonian Embassy in London.

If you have already applied for e-Residency and did so before August 25, the embassy can deliver your card to Leeds on a special consular mission.

Please contact me at alex.wellman@eas.ee if you have any questions. We would greatly appreciate if you could add it to your calendar.
