Lucille from Mind It & Jeremy from Easier Inc explore with you enlightening ways you can ensure your tech enhances your Wellbeing
About this Event
Wellbeing is de-rigeur – and quite rightly, because organisations with greater staff wellbeing are better for people, and better for results. Many organisations have wellbeing strategies and interventions, but all too often they make the mistake of focusing on the ‘people stuff’ – how to help people connect, be active, take notice, learn, give… Often HR departments are given the lead, making wellbeing a specialism, and that’s directly opposed to an end game where wellbeing is in everyone’s gift, and woven into the fabric of how things are designed, managed, measured and structured.
Of course there is more to wellbeing than the ‘soft stuff’ – we have to ensure our technology is serving our wellbeing, and not undermining it. In this practical session Lucille and Jeremy will bring together the social and technical to explore three simple ways we can think about and use tech to enhance wellbeing for individuals, teams, and across boundaries. Jeremy and Lucille are collaborating to support organisations to build wellbeing for today and to design-in wellbeing to the structures, technology and operating systems of our organisations for tomorrow – and we want to bring this dual focus to the session.
When we first discussed the session a few months ago, we could hardly have anticipated the huge shift to home working and online comminication that has been the result of Coronavirus social isolation. We will include practical ideas to support team members working from home, and get them to learn how to keep calm and remain healthy and productive during uncertain times.
